Julianne Pepitone and Jessica Dickler say, in a report for CNNMoney.com, that "[t]he pace of U.S. job losses slowed in November, according to two reports."
Well, that's good news — if the reports are accurate and if we start to see some job gains soon.
Because until we see actual job gains (not theoretical jobs "saved"), it's all talk. And talk won't pay the rent or buy clothes or put food on the table.
"Job losses" are precisely that — losses. Let's wait and see what the numbers look like when the monthly jobs report comes out on Friday. Let's hold off on celebrating until there is an upward trend to celebrate.
And then, let's see if we continue to gain ground. Fluctuation will suggest that we aren't yet in recovery mode.
Oh, and one more reminder — the news may be less bad than it has been, but, as I have said on more than one occasion this year, less bad is not the same as good.
